Pusher has certain soft and hard limits in using its service. Hard limits are automatically enforced by the Service. Soft limits are consumable resources that you agree not to exceed. Though we will sometimes tolerate applications that exceed their soft usages, we reserve the right to disable applications that fail to upgrade once requested to do so.

Definitions

Messages
The sum of the API requests you make to our service plus the number we have to deliver to connected clients.

Connections
The maximum number of open socket connections allowed at any given time.

Measurement

Our measurement of usage statistics is final for billing purposes.

Plans

The plans on our pricing pages for Channels and Beams define the different thresholds of usage.
